Perch
One shortcut. Your window, centered and alone.
A tiny macOS menu-bar utility that resizes, centers, and focuses your frontmost window with a single global shortcut — everything else politely steps out of the way.
Perch is a tiny macOS menu-bar app with one job: press a global shortcut and the window you're working in snaps to a clean, centered size while everything else tucks out of view.
It runs quietly in the menu bar with no Dock icon, no accounts, and nothing to configure beyond the shortcut and size you like.
One global shortcut
Press ⌃⌥↵ (Control + Option + Return) from anywhere and the frontmost window resizes to 80% width and 90% height of the screen and centers itself. The shortcut is fully customizable in Settings.
Everything else hides behind
Other windows on the same screen are moved behind the focused window instead of being closed or minimized — they're still there, just out of the way until you need them.
Adjustable sizing
Sliders in Settings let you tune exactly how wide and tall the focused window should be, so Perch fits how you like to work.
Lives in the menu bar
No Dock icon, no clutter — just a small menu-bar item with a Focus Now action, a Launch at Login toggle, and quick access to the Accessibility permission it needs.
